Turkey day is on the way friends, and we like to indulge. There is no calorie counting on that gorgeous third Thursday of November. So how about putting a little “money in the bank!” Try the pre thanksgiving workout challenge!
Here is the challenge because you know we love our 16’s!
16 Pumpkin Squats (No need to use a real pumpkin – but we did! LOL, you can use a weight instead of pumpkin), get nice and low, but make sure that you track your knees and keep your core engaged. For this first one just hold that pumpkin at chest height.

16 Pilgrim Twists (yes! usually, these babies are called Russian twists
16 Ronde de Jambes on the right
16 Ronde De Jambes on the left
8 Pilates push ups (remember from your apps, these babies include a full roll up to a standing position, in between, and be sure to keep your elbows in close!

Going for walks in the cool air is a favorite pastime to enjoy this timer of year. Whether by yourself to just think, or enjoy some music, or with a buddy or two – try to make some time for a walk today. For my family, going for a walk or a run is our reset button. We chat, get ideas, and laugh a lot. The idea of adding a little music to the situation if you’re alone is so nice too – lately I’ve been craving calm piano music. So, that’s probably what I’ll pick for today’s Sunday funday jaunt if I end up going by myself!

Reaching out to a friend – maybe one you haven’t talked to in a while, is such a feel good thing to do! Just let someone know you are thinking about them, maybe remember a shared time together. It’ll help you to slow down and appreciate the good things!

Pumpkin is so good for you ~ Bonus, it’s going to help you enjoy the spirit of the season! I love Trader Joe’s pumpkin spread on a pumpkin bagel – ok, if you’re thinking that’s a lot of pumpkin, you’re right – but those pumpkin bagels are astoundingly delicious. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin biscotti, pumpkin spiced lattes – there are just so many goodies featuring pumpkin! What are your favorite pumpkin recipes?
