12 Days of Fittbe Day 2!

Great job to everyone who enjoyed day one and gave yourselves a lovely little self care ritual by turning off the screen for 20 minutes, enjoying some Christmasy literature, and sipping a calming cup of tea!

Day 2 in the #12DaysofFittbe calls for you to Sprinkle some Cinnamon and “rock” the Plank!

That’s right, today were adding just a little spice … Cinnamon! Complete the day 2 challenge by making yourself a yummy snack of apple slices with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Cinnamon feels like such a perfect treat in winter! (or pre-winter, lol, as we’re just about a week away from Winter Solstice.

Second part of the challenge – set your timer for a two minute plank! Keep you back flat and your core strong!

It’s day one of the #12DaysofFittbe and this is a challenge you’re going to love! Each day we will be enjoying a self care activity – that’s right… enjoying!

It can be tough to really experience the good little things in life when we’re overwhelmed with the hustle and bustle of this festive and blessed season. We’re going to focus on taking care of our minds, bodies and spirits with feel good fun… Fittbe style! ❄️

12 Days of Fittbe Day 1

Your Day 1 Challenge: 

Make a steaming cup of tea and sit for at least 20 minutes. Read something fun and 100 percent stress free, like a Christmas book. Turn off your screens when you do it!

Follow your cozy 20 minutes with a short stretching session. Choose your own fave feel good stretches, or enjoy a Fittbe session! You might like to set it to holiday serenity piano music!

Sunday Fittbe Autumn Weekend 2: Self Care to Do’s!

We have your Sunday Fittbe To Do List for the day. Self Care, and taking in the fun and beauty of the season is always a good thing!

Your mission is to get through as many of these as you can. I think its pretty doable!

? Go for a walk and take in the fresh air!⠀

Going for walks in the cool air is a favorite pastime to enjoy this timer of year. Whether by yourself to just think, or enjoy some music, or with a buddy or two – try to make some time for a walk today. For my family, going for a walk or a run is our reset button. We chat, get ideas, and laugh a lot. The idea of adding a little music to the situation if you’re alone is so nice too – lately I’ve been craving calm piano music. So, that’s probably what I’ll pick for today’s Sunday funday jaunt if I end up going by myself!

? Call or write a friend⠀

Reaching out to a friend – maybe one you haven’t talked to in a while, is such a feel good thing to do! Just let someone know you are thinking about them, maybe remember a shared time together. It’ll help you to slow down and appreciate the good things!

? Stretch or do a Fittbe Pilates Session!⠀

Naturally, you need to do something good for your body today! A slow stretch session, or a lovely Pilates practice is the perfect way to treat yourself to fit fun. We’ve just posted brand new sessions in your Fittbe Pilates apps too! 

? Make something Pumpkin!⠀

Pumpkin is so good for you ~ Bonus, it’s going to help you enjoy the spirit of the season! I love Trader Joe’s pumpkin spread on a pumpkin bagel – ok, if you’re thinking that’s a lot of pumpkin, you’re right – but those pumpkin bagels are astoundingly delicious. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin biscotti, pumpkin spiced lattes – there are just so many goodies featuring pumpkin! What are your favorite pumpkin recipes?

Candle light is the coziest. We just need to make the effort to make spaces cozy our hearts and minds happy ?
